Duotts N26 – The electric fat bike that became a legend during the six-hour test at Kruunuvuorenranta
Kruunuvuorenranta awoke to a new morning as the sea glistened and the sun rose above the horizon. Our electric bike test team stood in a line around the new king— the Duotts N26 electric fat bike. This isn’t just an electric bike; it’s a powerhouse equipped with two 750 W motors that looks as good as it feels.
Our task was clear: to test the N26 for six hours under every condition that Helsinki’s Kruunuvuorenranta has to offer—smooth asphalt, sandy beaches, gravel roads, steep hills, and forest trails.
First Start – Twin-Engine Power Awakens
9:00 a.m. The first rider twists the throttle, and both 750-watt motors spring to life. The N26 surges forward like an electric enduro bike—but silently. The 26×4.0” Kenda tires glide over the asphalt and grip the sand firmly.
Hills That Are Nightmares for Others
11:00 a.m. We’re testing the N26’s ability to tackle the steepest climbs in Kruunuvuorenranta. The electric fat bike doesn’t hesitate. Its 1,500 W dual-drive motor and 65 Nm of torque carry the rider uphill without the slightest slowdown. Hills that are a grueling struggle on other e-bikes become enjoyable climbs on this one.
City and Countryside—A Perfect Balance
2:00 p.m. We head onto the cobblestones and between the tram tracks. The ZOOM’s hydraulic disc brakes, with 203-mm rotors, bring the bike to a stop as if it were hitting a wall—but smoothly and in a controlled manner. The suspension absorbs the bumps, and the bike responds to steering quickly yet steadily.
After six hours—a unanimous verdict
It’s 4:00 p.m. The battery hasn’t run out, the power hasn’t faded, and every member of the team agrees: “This isn’t just a good electric bike—it’s the perfect one.”
When we compared Duott’s N26 electric fat bike to bikes in the same price range, it came out on top in every category. Even more incredible—it also outperformed electric bikes priced between 5,000 and 8,000 € in terms of comfort, power, and build quality.

Assembling an Electric Bike
When you buy an e-bike from us, you can rest assured that we’ve made everything as easy as possible for you. Our e-bikes come 90% pre-assembled, which means you don’t have to worry about complicated assembly steps. For the final assembly, you’ll receive all the necessary tools and clear, step-by-step instructions to ensure your e-bike is ready to ride in just about 30 minutes.
However, if you need help at any stage, we’re here to assist you. You can contact us at any time, and we offer free video guidance via WhatsApp to ensure the assembly goes smoothly. If you’d still rather not assemble the e-bike yourself, you can also bring it to our store, and we’ll assemble it for you—this service is also designed to keep the process easy and hassle-free.
First Aid
The first service should be performed after about one month of riding or when the e-bike has been ridden 100–300 kilometers. This initial service includes a thorough wash of the e-bike, a comprehensive inspection of the electrical components, adjustments to the brakes and gears, tightening of the spokes, lubrication of the chains, and a general condition check. This service ensures that your e-bike is in top condition and ready for safe riding.
Annual Maintenance
Annual maintenance includes even more comprehensive procedures: battery testing, drivetrain cleaning, tire inflation and replacement, chain lubrication, and inspections and updates of all electrical systems. We recommend annual maintenance regardless of how often you use your e-bike, to ensure it remains in top technical condition and safe to ride all year round.
Prices for Maintenance and Repair Services
We keep our maintenance costs competitive. The price for an initial service starts at 90 EUR, and a comprehensive annual service costs 149 EUR (including 25.5% VAT).
If you'd like us to assemble your electric bike for you, you can bring it to our store; the assembly service costs 69 EUR.
