🚴♂️ Ridstar Q20 electric fat bike – not just a bike, but a phenomenon
One gray morning at the Ridstar factory, someone said, “Let’s build an electric fat bike that doesn’t ask for permission—it just takes you wherever it goes.” The Ridstar Q20 electric fat bike was born, and its journey took it straight from the box to the joint test center for European electric bike manufacturers in Kruunuvuorenranta, Helsinki.
The test ride team didn't know what to expect. But as soon as the bike was unpacked and the battery’s LEDs started flashing like on a spaceship, the mood changed. The Ridstar Q20 electric fat bike didn’t arrive to make a quiet entrance—it came to show what it feels like when an electric bike breaks the boundaries of gravity and comfort all at once.
🧪 Test drive in Helsinki – no messing around
My first test ride on the cobblestones of Kruunuvuorenranta was no leisurely Sunday cruise. The Ridstar Q20 electric fat bike took off like a dirt bike, but with a smoother ride. Its 20×4-inch fat tires devoured sand, asphalt, and gravel like a small tank.
-
Off-road: Roots, rocks, and hills disappeared beneath the suspension and thick tires. No vibrations, no jolts—just pure enjoyment.
-
In the city: the tram tracks, curbs, and traffic jams mostly felt like mere speed bumps that the Ridstar Q20 electric fat bike rolled right over with a smile.
-
On the climbs: 75 Nm of torque and a 1,000-watt motor turned the steep ascents into pure fun. I managed to stay in the saddle, but my adrenaline levels soared.

First Aid
The first service should be performed after about one month of riding or when the e-bike has been ridden 100–300 kilometers. This initial service includes a thorough wash of the e-bike, a comprehensive inspection of the electrical components, adjustments to the brakes and gears, tightening of the spokes, lubrication of the chains, and a general condition check. Annual maintenance includes even more comprehensive procedures: battery testing, drivetrain cleaning, tire inflation and replacement, chain lubrication, and inspections and updates of all electrical systems. We recommend annual maintenance regardless of how often you use your e-bike, to ensure it remains in top technical condition and safe to ride all year round.
